Robot And Robot Base

At our core, we standardise on the Yaskawa robot range as the foundation for our robot & robot base solutions, though other brands are used when required. Yaskawa robots deliver exceptional speed, flexibility, and efficiency in dynamic production environments. Competing brands are often chosen for their high precision, but Yaskawa stands out in complex, demanding applications. The range also includes advanced AC drives and motion control systems, which integrate seamlessly with their robotic platforms. This integration enhances performance consistency and simplifies setup, making Yaskawa a trusted choice for versatile automation needs.

Yaskawa’s PL Series robots provide high-speed, high-payload performance for palletizing applications through advanced kinematics and powerful Sigma-7 servo motors. Payload capacities range from 80 to 800 kg, ensuring flexibility across multiple industries. Each robot is designed for efficiency and reliability, with a compact footprint and internally protected cable routing to reduce damage risk. A hollow wrist accommodates media cables neatly, simplifying maintenance. The PL Series also offers an extended working range and high stacking capabilities, powered by the YRC1000 controller for intuitive programming and precise operation. For South African installations, we recommend fitting a 1:1 power supply transformer to stabilise current and voltage fluctuations, protecting the YRC1000 controller’s converter and extending its service life.

The MOTOMAN HC Series features advanced 6-axis collaborative robots, or cobots, designed for safe human–robot interaction. Payload options range from 10 to 20 kg, with a 30 kg version in development. These cobots use integrated Power and Force Limiting technology, automatically stopping when they detect contact with an operator. They transition smoothly between collaborative and high-speed modes, depending on operational requirements. In many applications, this eliminates the need for safety fencing, provided a proper risk assessment is conducted. The HC Series combines flexibility, safety, and efficiency to enhance productivity in modern workplaces.

Our experience in robotics automation has enabled us to build a strong network of contract-based robot programmers. This network allows us to integrate any robot brand specified by the client into the packing line. Whether the project involves new installations or modifications to existing lines, we ensure each system operates efficiently and according to the client’s production goals. Our flexible approach ensures smooth collaboration between different robot systems and brands.

All robots must be mounted securely to ensure stability during operation. Significant operational loads can cause structural stress, so even minor base movement can reduce accuracy and efficiency. To counter this, our robot bases are engineered for strength, precision, and visual appeal. We install robots on floors, walls, or ceilings depending on spatial and process requirements. Some applications require a bridge-shaped base to allow free movement beneath the robot. Each robot model and size category has a specific mounting pattern, ensuring reliable support and alignment for long-term operation.
